Look at your schedule everyday to decide where to spend your time. By starting you work day knowing what needs to get finished, you are more likely to reach your goals. Look over your plans to ensure you aren't overbooked.

Focus on the small parts of tasks when trying to manage your time. Multi-tasking makes things harder to do effectively. When you try to accomplish too many tasks at the same time, you become tired and flustered. Take deep breaths, relax and concentrate on one project through to its completion. Then tackle the next task.

If you can't manage time effectively, take some time to analyze what your work process is currently does for you. If you are unable to maintain focus on your task until completion, find out the reason why. This is the first step in improving your use of time.

If a task is hard, do it first. These should be completed early in your day. This frees up your time to attend to the most menial tasks. Once you put the stressful stuff behind you, the rest of your day is cake.

Make a list of everything that needs to be done for the day; then prioritize the list by how important each task is. As you accomplish each task beginning at the top of the list, begin working on the next one down. If you have difficulty remembering the tasks, keep the list in your pocket.

Prepare yourself mentally for your projects. Sometimes it is hard to get in the right mindset, but with a little practice you can get your mind right and keep focused. Convince yourself to focus for a given time and then follow through.

Create a priority list and work on the things at the top first. If you work on several projects at the same time, you aren't likely to do a very good job on any of them. You may not actually get much done! By attending to your tasks one by one in order of importantce, it will be easier for you to succeed.

Save money, gas and time by doing several errands at once. You can accomplish many tasks at once, like running multiple errands on one trip that will save you time from having to run out later. Leave earlier if you have multiple tasks to accomplish.

Make sure you have some "wiggle room" when it comes to finishing large tasks or projects. These things can take a lot of time and unexpected things can happen. Such things can extend the time needed and throw your schedule off course. Having a buffer will help you be ready for them.

Tasks that can be handled quickly should be dealt with when they arise. Do these later in the day if you are occupied. If there's anything that comes up routinely, make it a habit so that it doesn't continue to interrupt your to-do list.

Write a task list at night for what you want to accomplish tomorrow. List all of your tasks and determine how long it will take you to accomplish each one. This way, you will feel less stressed throughout the day.
